FALL OPEN HOUSE FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
Thursday, October 16
9 a.m. - Noon
Meet the people that make CVA what it is, speak with faculty about our programs, take a student-led campus tour including our
historic Summit mansion, meet CVA alumni, and learn about the admissions and financial aid process.

The open house presentation and tour will last from approximately 9 a.m. - Noon.
A detailed schedule of events will be mailed to you prior to the open house.
If coming from out of town, take advantage of our great location in Saint Paul. Upon request, a CVA packet
for out-of-town guests can be sent to you.

After the info session you are invited to take part in the Curated Exhibition gallery opening.

PORTFOLIO BUILDING WORKSHOP
Build A Portfolio Through Drawing
Saturdays, November 1 & 8 from 9 a.m. - Noon
Optional Portfolio Reviews Noon - 1 p.m.
Fee: $50 - all materials will be provided
Now is the time to begin building a portfolio!
Please join the College of Visual Arts for a portfolio-building workshop in November.
CVA's Portfolio Building Workshop is intended to support the development of working drawings for
an art and design admissions portfolio. Students will be introduced to black and white drawing materials
and observational drawing exercises by CVA faculty.
CVA admissions representatives will also be present to talk about admissions criteria and submitting
portfolios to art and design schools.
Students are required to attend both sessions. Reservations will be taken until October 27 or until the workshop is full.
