Erin Maurelli will be at the CVA printmaking studio on Wednesday, March 28 from 10:55 to 12:00 to show us her collection of lithographs, including her own, and talk with us about the process of lithography and her intentions for the upcoming Litho class this summer. Erin is a printmaker and book-artist and lithography is her passion. Erin taught the summer 2011 Screen printing class here at CVA.
Erin trained at the world-renown Tamarind Institute for Lithography, which is the only institution of its kind to train professional master printers. While there, Erin collaborated with artists such as Garo Antresian, Roberto Juarez, and Harrell Fletcher.
Erin also earned her MFA and Book Arts Certificate at the University of Iowa. Her most recent collaborative print project was with the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, where she acted as the head printer for their 2011 Winter Book project, Come and Get It, by author, Kevin Kling and illustrator, Michael Sommers.
