O'Brien Creates Portrait of An Wang

Illustration Chair James O’Brien has been commissioned to create a portrait of An Wang for Softmart’s 2012 calendar. An Wang was the co-founder of Wang Laboratories and creator, along with Way Dong Woo, of the pulse transfer controlling device in 1949. This device implemented write-after-read which made magnetic core memory possible.
