The College of Visual Arts is located in the beautiful Summit Avenue and Ramsey Hill neighborhoods of Saint Paul. The college is close to Grand and Selby avenues and downtown Saint Paul. Click on a building on the map below to get directions to that location.

Summit Building

The CVA Summit Building is at 344 Summit Avenue, on the south side of the street. Onstreet parking is available on Summit Avenue and adjoining streets.

From 35e northbound

Heading northbound on 35E, take the Grand Avenue exit. Turn left at the light, proceed straight up the hill, and turn right at the top onto Summit Avenue. CVA Summit Building is on the right side.

From 35e Southbound

Heading south on 35E, go West on I-94 to the Marion Street exit. Take a left onto Marion (stay in the middle lane). Turn right onto John Ireland Boulevard, then follow John Ireland as it turns into Summit Avenue. CVA Summit Building is on the left side.

From 94

Heading eastbound or westbound on I-94, take the Marion Street exit. Turn left onto Marion (stay in the middle lane). Turn right onto John Ireland Boulevard, then follow John Ireland as it turns into Summit Avenue. CVA Summit Building is on the south side of the street.

CVA Gallery & Western Studios

The CVA Gallery and Western Building are at 173 Western Avenue North, at the northwest corner of Selby and Western avenues. Parking is available to the west and north of the building and on adjoining streets.

Heading southbound on 35E, take I-94 westbound to the Dale Street exit. Turn left onto Dale. Proceed to Selby Avenue and turn left at Selby. The Western Building is at the northwest corner of Selby and Western avenues.

From 94

Heading eastbound or westbound on I-94, exit at Dale Street and head south. Proceed to Selby Avenue and turn left at Selby. The Western Building is at the northwest corner of Selby and Western.

CVA Library

The CVA Library is at 394 Dayton Avenue, just north and west of the Western Building. CVA Parking is marked and available between the Western Building and the Library.

Grotto Studios

The CVA Grotto Building is at 760 Selby Avenue. Onstreet parking is available on Selby Avenue and adjoining streets.

Heading eastbound or westbound on I-94, exit at Dale Street and head south. Proceed to Selby Avenue and turn right at Selby. The Grotto Building is at the southwest corner of Selby Avenue and Grotto Street.

Marquette Studios

The Marquette Building is at 377 Dayton Avenue, at the corner of Dayton and Western avenues, one block north of the CVA Gallery. Onstreet parking is available on adjoining streets. Follow the directions to the Gallery (above) and proceed to Dayton. The Photo Lab is in the lower level of the building at the northeast corner of Western and Dayton avenues.
