June 13 - 17, 2010
Instructors: Lynda Monick-Isenberg and Char Ellingson
How can we see and understand our connection to nature? By slowing down, observing, writing, and reflecting on nature we come closer to understanding our interdependence to the natural world and how strong, yet fragile, these connections are. Using the historic artforms of the nature journal, field notes, and writing, you will reconnect with nature in the remote wooded setting of Stout's Island.
You will be guided in your drawing and scientific journaling methods by educator and scientist Char Ellingson and artist and CVA faculty member Lynda Monick-Isenberg. A perfect respite in a perfect setting. A supply list will be provided.
