CVA students receive a 30% discount off tuition rates for Community Education Classes. CVA students may attend all Community Education lectures free of charge.
CVA Alumni receive a 10% discount on tuition for all Community Education classes and workshops.
All withdrawals are subject to a $25 nonrefundable registration fee.
CVA reserves the right to alter its curriculum, cancel courses, or change faculty without prior notice. In the event a course or workshop is canceled, CVA will refund the tuition and fees paid for that course to registrants. All course offerings are subject to a minimum enrollment. Cancellation of classes with insufficient enrollment will occur 2 weeks prior to the first day of class.
CVA assumes no liability for travel expenses or nonrefundable airling tickets that cannot be used due to any courses or workshops being canceled, schedule changes, or any misprints in this catalog.
All participants accept full responsibility for personal injury and/or personal losses during the period of the course.
Registration in Community Education courses entitles students to use only the CVA facilities and equipment assigned to the course for which they are registered. Use is permitted only during class time.
Some courses and workshops require the payment of a facility fee. This fee is used to cover the cost of equipment maintenance and commonly used chemicals, inks, paper, etc. in the studio areas.
Some courses and workshops require the purchase of supplies and/or books. This is typically stated in the course description, either as a list of supplies to be purchased bythe students or as a materials fee paid to CVA for supplies provided by Community Education. The instructor will announce additional information about supplies at the first course meeting.
CVA reserves the right to cancel community education classes due to bad weather. In the event of inclement weather, CVA will display a message on its home page www.cva.edu as quickly as is feasible. A separate message indicating your class status will be recorded as soon as it is possible on the Community Education Office phone at 651.757.4054. Please call the Community Education Office or check the website before commuting to the College of Visual Arts in order to ensure that CVA will be open.
If the college closes, it will remain closed for the entire day even if the weather emergency ends during the day. We will do our best to reschedule a canceled class at a time convenient to the instructor and the majority of students.
Registration implies permission to be photographed for CVA promotional purposes. If you do not want to be photographed, call 651.757.4054
Credit cards, check, and cash are accepted as payment for classes.

CVA parking is available for CVA permit-holders in designated parking lots. On-street parking is available. When necessary, CVA will issue temporary parking permits to program participants on the first day of class.
CVA reserves the right to dismiss a student when his/her actions show disrespect for other people or property.
If you are experiencing a problem with a continuing studies course or workshop, please speak with the instructor. If the problem goes unresolved, please address it in writing to the coordinator of Community Education.
