new student orientation

We look forward to having new students on campus for this two day event. Orientation is an important introduction to their college career at CVA, therefore attendance at both days of the event is required.

Students will transition into their life at CVA by meeting their peer mentors, learning about student life, taking part in an art history workshop and enjoying a reception on the Summit lawn. Students will meet with advisors, be introduced to the digital labs and hear about campus safety. They will also go through the validation process with the Financial Aid, Business and Registrar’s Offices. Proof of health insurance will be required, if not already submitted, at this point. There will also be a 3D workshop on the lawn of the Summit building.

Parents are encouraged to attend the first day of Orientation with students. During the morning session parents are introduced to CVA staff and faculty and will hear from the Foundation Department Chair. At lunch parents will have the opportunity to talk with other CVA Department Chairs. The afternoon will include sessions on campus safety, CVA’s focus on professional development, parent involvement opportunities and a Q & A session with President Ledy.
